What happened?

I was wondering what kind of message LACOLA and our chiefs are trying to send to all of the recurrents, aspiring to be a part of this so called "most professional lifeguarding agency in the world." The message I got was, hard work doesn't pay off, the core values drilled into all of us during academy have no meaning, I don't have to do the right thing, and I don't have to respect or follow any of the rules. Who wants to work for someone who lies to their employees all the time? How do you regain the trust of your employees? By threatening to never get promoted? Ask any of my fellow recurrents who share the same dream that I once had, how many times have you heard this line, "there will be another test in the next few months...." I think I've heard that one every few days for the last 3-5 years, or how about this one, "Man we got to get you guys promoted, don't worry it'll happen in the next few months....." Can somebody in this fucking department just man up and tell the truth? Even people I truly respect have been letting me down, one by one. What happened to integrity? What does integrity mean to you? To me, it's doing the right thing, even when nobody is looking. Just tell us it's probably not gonna happen for the next year or two because everyone knows you're full of shit. I have nothing against the people who got promoted to A item, I have a problem with management poorly running a company that is structured to run itself!
I have a problem respecting my superiors who lie, maliciously and wrongfully threaten employees, and most importantly, superiors who don't lead by example. I want to work for someone who I can trust to do the right thing, look up to, and someone who has the balls to call people our on their mistakes and then actually helping them improve instead of talking shit behind their back. Isn't that something that we all expect from each other? We are all role models in one way or another; and whether you like it or not, the consequences of your actions will affect the way other lifeguards do their jobs. The respect and power that you command as my permanent, captain, or chief was given to you to make a positive difference. I was threatened with never getting promoted before posting this on here, that showed me what kind of person you really are deep down inside, and for that, I no longer have the same respect for you as a friend, supervisor, or a human being.
